Driver dragging trailer on interstate charged with DUI

Many times in cases where a driver is suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol, one of the central questions is why the person was pulled over in the first place. Police will often claim that they had noticed a very minor infraction, such as failing to come to a complete stop at a stop sign, or a small violation of the speed limit. It may not be until after they have pulled the driver over and engaged in a prolonged discussion that they decide to investigate the driver for potential drunk driving.

Heavy DUI enforcement nets 435 Colorado arrests

Mashed potatoes were eaten, turkeys devoured, football watched and thanks were given over the holiday weekend. Unfortunately, arrests were also made in Colorado over the Thanksgiving holiday, as law enforcement conducted their annual holiday DUI crackdown.

Parents have a natural tendency to want to protect their children from harm. That's apparently what the father of a Colorado Springs man arrested for reckless manslaughter was trying to do when he spoke with a reporter for the Gazette.
